Beef and Bell Pepper Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 small steak (any cheap cut), thinly sliced

  • 1 Green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce

  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 2 Tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 Inch ginger, grated

  • 2 Cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp corn starch

  • splash of water

Recipe

  1. Sear sliced beef for about 2-4 minutes, until browned on both sided. Set aside.

  2. In the same pan, sauté bell pepper for 5-7 minutes until soft.

  3. Meanwhile, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, 1 clove garlic, and brown sugar in a small bowl and mix. Combine cornstarch and water to form a slurry and add to sauce.

  4. Add 1 clove garlic to bell peppers and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  5. Return beef to pan and heat through

  6. Add sauce and reduce until thickened

  7. Serve over rice

  8. Enjoy!
